![]() ![]() I have a LG C2 Evo Oled 48 inch now and i am rather happy with it. Its needed to have a good viewing angle on the VA Panels.Īdd to this the really sluggish and unintuitive Tizen OS (with occasional ads!!) which always needs a zillion clicks to change any setting and the stylish but button lacking remote control, you may get why i was becoming annoyed with the new Neo G7. I get it now why all these Samsung gaming monitors have this aggressive curve. VA is simply so much worse then IPS or Oled in this regard. I was trying all kind of settings, really was trying hard. With a reduced brightness necessary for office work and text reading i couldnt get an image which didnt look like tunnel vision. Using the monitor for any office work proved to be really annoying as in the typical sitting and viewing distance both sides look rather dark and decolorized/weird color shifting. The real dealbreaker for me is the VA Panel viewing angles. HDR 600 seems a bit low but actually i found the HDR experience quite good and the local dimming excellent. The picture quality in movie mode and for gaming is quite good. i mean, how often do you move your screen? but really, as soon as it is on your desk thats a non issue. The stand is full metal and a bit wobbly. The Monitor actually looked nice and is well built. i mean, what could go wrong, Samsung, Mini Led, at least HDR 600. So when a great preorder offer from Samsung came up i went for it. But 60 hz and no HDR screamed for an update eventually. I am using a monitor/TV for gaming, movies and office work.īefore i had a 43 inch, IPS, LG, 60 hz monitor which i really liked. I had the new Neo G7 43 Inch and returned it after fiddling with it for days.
